Woody Allen Screening

From: Craig Emanuel
Sent: Monday, November 23, 2009 3:17 PM
Subject: Invitation to Special Movie Screening Honoring Shula Swerdlov

As many of you know, the three year old niece of our good friend and teacher, Mendel Schwartz, Shula Swerdlov was killed tragically when she was run over by a bus that had been transporting her and other children to their homes after school.

To honor Shula, the family is dedicating a new Sefer Torah in Shula’s honor which will be written over the twelve month period following her tragic death.

To help with the cost of writing by hand this beautiful Torah scroll, I would like to extend an invitation to a screening at the Aidikoff Screen Room in Beverly Hills at 7:00 p.m. on December 13.

We have decided to screen the Woody Allen film "Bananas".  We discussed the idea of having a current film but thought that choosing something that is a classic film that many of you may not have seen for more than 20 years (it came out in 1971) would be a fun thing to show.

Accompanying the screening will be beverages and appetizers and I am hoping that you will all be able to attend.  The cost of attending the screening will be $25.00 per person and 100% of the proceeds will go to honor Shula’s memory.  For further information on the Torah, please visit www.shulastorah.com.

Given that seating will be limited, I would ask that you RSVP and confirm your attendance as soon as possible to jjones@loeb.com.
