September 19, 2020 - September 28, 2020
    6:30 pm - 7:17 pm

Whether you are bored every year… and go for family, guilt, or nostalgia…or haven’t gone for years, give it one more chance. Services will be held with social distant seating in an open tent on all 4 sides to accommodate current recommended protocols in connection with with the current covid-19 virus.

Services are in english with meaning & melody. All services will be held at a beautiful Hancock park estate. We have secured a magnificent backyard which will be tented, and open on all four sides. (Near Highland & 3rd). Folding chairs will be spaced in the tent, and we’ll have groups of chairs for families. You must RSVP for Rosh Hashana AND Yom Kippur to guarantee a chair, and to receive the venue location. It is only $18 per person for your reservation. You’ll need to make a separate RSVP for Yom Kippur as well. This is simply a processing fee for our security staff to process your name on the guest list. If you have a hard time paying $18, please email info@chaicenter.org.

This is our very popular and well attended program intensely animated bcz 100’s of ppl are bursting with Q’s they’ve had stuck in their Kishkehs since age 12 or 13 etc. and now they get their chance.

5:30pm–7:17pm (when the fast ends), is the very moving “Closing of the gates” prayer (“Neila”). We’ve been getting over 600 members of the tribe (who can’t pronounce “Neila”) who are drawn to this inspiring experience.
