Thank you for your response Mendel. I have included the message I wanted to send him below. It is a thank you to your whole family and the Chai center really. I hope to be able to support you all more with donations as my career grows ! Thanks for everything you do !
I just wanted to take a moment to thank the Schwartz family for all that you do. Rabbi Schwartz, A few years ago I started attending the Free High Holidays Services you provided. It was a very special time for me as I was about to embark on my journey through nursing school. Unfortunately I fell ill and was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis and I could not start school. The disease took a toll on my whole life. At some points I was critically ill and did not expect to even survive.  I often wondered why this happened to me, and at such a promising time in my life ? Well, I now see that everything I’ve been through as a patient has set me up to be the most empathetic care giver I could ever be. And everything I have been through, well, I have learned from it. I have had my full health back for about a year now and decided to reapply to programs. On the day of Yom Kippur I found out that I was accepted into the #1 graduate nursing school in our country (Johns Hopkins I’ll be moving to Baltimore! ). Your words about beshertness during the end of services truly spoke to me and brought me to the realization that everything has happened for a reason and if we just have faith G-d will take us far beyond what we could ever even dream of for ourselves. And for that moment alone I felt the need to thank you !
